Japanese Tatsuo Horiuchi has always dreamed of painting after retirement. When the long-awaited free time appeared, Tatsuo found out that the supplies were expensive, and the special computer programs were even more expensive. However, he did not give up and decided to master what he already had on his computer. Of the two standard programs - Excel and Paint - he chose the first, although its developers, most likely, could not think that someone would use it for painting.

Tatsuo works with a panel designed for plotting, so he creates smooth outlines of foliage, hills, waves and other elements. And the gradient fill allows him to get smooth transitions of shades.

We invite you to admire the gallery of works by Tatsuo Horiuchi. If you didn't know how a Japanese man paints his pictures, could you guess? Here is a great example of the fact that retirement age is not a reason to give up your dreams!

Twitter user from Japan under the nickname Maruraba delights subscribers with his tenacity and perseverance, drawing anime characters in Excel. To do this, he uses different forms, the number of which for one job can exceed a thousand. Drawings by Maruraba are indistinguishable from those made in professional graphic editors.

Many people around the world simply adore anime and are ready to almost tear anyone for it. ... Lovers of this culture show their passion in different ways: someone, and someone just draws their favorite characters.

But for one Twitter user under the nickname Maruraba ( Maruraba) drawing on paper or in a specialized program would be too easy. Therefore, he chose for his work a program for working with spreadsheets, familiar to almost everyone - Microsoft Excel. And here's what drawing he got in it.

You probably do not believe that it is possible to draw in Excel, which is used by most for compiling tables and performing calculations. But Maruraba makes the impossible possible, even though it takes him a huge amount of time.

This is what the same drawing looks like, but still in work.

It all consists of a huge number of different shapes that the user adds, hand-colors and rotates to create the drawing he wants.

This work can take several months. It all starts with a few lines and the most difficult thing - the eyes, on which the user, in his own words, spends hours.

The sketch above was made in November, but this is what the same work looked like in January.

And now, finally, the final result.

It happens that several characters appear in Maruraba's drawings at once. The total number of forms on this is 1,182, as the artist himself admitted.

And this is how he looked at the end.

Maruraba has been drawing in Excel for a long time, so he has a lot of drawings. It is really difficult to distinguish them from the work done in a graphics editor.

76-year-old Japanese man Tatsuo Horiuchi proved that technology and age can be perfectly combined. You will be surprised, but a man creates pictures of incredible beauty using ... Microsoft Excel! Yes, yes, in a program in which, to be honest, not everyone even knows how to make tables) But, as it turned out, it can be used even for creativity.

By the way, there are a lot of artists working in computer applications. But, of course, they choose programs designed specifically for working with images: picasa, photoshop, or paint. But Tatsuo Horiuchi chose a more difficult path)

It all started when the man retired. He decided to find something to do and make his dream come true. But the artist did not have the opportunity to purchase the software, so he began to look closely at the Microsoft Office package.

Horiuchi first drew attention to the Word program, but the text editor was too strict. And then the pensioner decided to try drawing in Excel. As it turned out, this program has a lot of drawing functions, and they are much easier than, for example, in the same Paint. Gradually, Horiuchi mastered all the possibilities, and now with the help of them he creates real masterpieces.

Japanese paintings are exquisite and complex, imbued with traditions and cultural motives. He has been drawing for over 10 years and has been honing his skills all the time. A man exhibits his work in various contests and competitions, where he often takes prizes.

Still, age and limited opportunities are not an obstacle for the realization of your ideas and the realization of dreams.
